Hey guys i have a playstation 3 slim that i bought at future shop and i’ve had it for like maybe a year

now and lately i removed the power cable when the red light was off so the ps3 was off then a few hours later i plug ed it back in and it says it had been a problem with the ps3 and it had to reformatted then my husky came by and unplugged the loose wire and it shutted off during the reformation then when i plugged it back in. it said “the hard disk is corrupted and will be restored” then it was doing it stopped at 25% then 44% then it finished then my ps3 restarted again and it showed the same problem. it restarted already 20times. same thing.

i have seen some option of bringing to a friends house and whatever all my friends have 360’s and another one to remove the hard drive and plug it to computer and whatever i don’T know how to do that so please don’T ask me to do it >_>

Also my Ps3 is a 160 GB.

PLEASE HELP ME

  1. That’s exactly why I was against a game console having a HDD! They are complicated enough on PCs so why they included an HDD on a game console is ludicrous to me! I’ve had my share of problems with my PS3’s HDD as well!

The main one being corrupt save data!

To restore your PS3’s HDD file system do the following! MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP ALL SAVED DATA BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO RESTORE YOUR FILE SYSTEM!

How to Access Playstation Recovery Menu

    1. Turn off Playstation3.

    2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again.

    3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press your finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps

    4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.

    5. You will be promted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button

    6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

When the recovery menu pops up chose “Restore File System”! Any other selection could cause you to lose all saved data so I recommend BACKING UP YOUR HDD BEFORE RESTORING!

    The Recovery Menu supports:

    Restart System:

    Restarts the PLAYSTATION3 System.

    Restore Default Settings:

Reset all system settings back to default.

    Restore File System:

    Checks for corrupt/missing system files.

    Rebuild Database:

Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION3.

    Restore PS3 System:

Fresh restore; Deletes everything and starts from Scratch.

    System Update:

    Update the PLAYSTATION3 System
