Classic Game Room reviews CASTLEVANIA HARMONY OF DESPAIR for Xbox 360 from Konami. This side scrolling platformer has old school style 2D gameplay with some creative new elements like the ability to zoom the screen in and out with the right analog stick. Co-op multiplayer gameplay is available over Xbox Live and you can play as numerous characters from the Castlevania games of yesteryear. This CGR review of Castlevania Harmony of Despair has gameplay from Castlevania Harmony of Despair showing Castlevania 2-D platforming side scrolling game play in action.

  1. Damn!, this was the review that got me into Castlevania, it's now one of my favorite series, and one of the pinnacles of game design
Castlevania is so good that there's lots of other games i can't enjoy now since the controls aren't as good

  2. Trust me man, you have half an hour to beat a level, that's loads of time to complete a level

  3. Me too. It's no fun if you can't take your time and explore the castle at your own pace. I think this game was rushed.

  4. My favorite is Castlevania Symphony of the Night!
(And this one, has I can play it Online!)

  5. I'd actually have to say Castlevania HD is my favorite in the series just because it's so fun to play with other people…..and it has Richter, who's a friggin' beast. Aside from that, my favorite is probably Super Castlevania IV

  6. I hate how tiny everything looks can you play this untimed? I just want to play a new Castlevania game since I recently finished all of them =/

  7. when he said about not having something up his ass and having that arrogant smug look of his face, it was slaps o'clock.

  8. even with the added characters and even after downloading 8 bit Simon Belmont on the PS3 version it's not a fun game. the music is cheesy and drags on and on and on and on and on and on and on. your chances of beating a level first time is minimal because you have to level up (any level beyond the first). So decide one character very quickly or you're be wasting your life grinding. None of the characters on the 360 version are very Castlevania, luckily the PS3 version has 3 whip characters.

  9. this game gets alot of unfair reviews. when really this game is the perfect example of what people always say they want. for instance. players are always complaining about tutorial's that treat them like idiots. this game said. ok we hear you. if you want to know what to do. there is a menu you can go to. but we shall not speak of it. so go look for it. this is a great game. and i still play it today. and i recomend it very highly.

  10. This game is very fun and addictive. Well worth the 15$ but you'll want the dlc stages if you wanna get some more good items

  11. You know what, you make your self sound like a jack ass when you call other people out on their own opinion on something. Far be it that someone have their own views on whether this game is good or not, if alot of the professional and non professional reviews and gamers state that this game isnt that good, then there must be a problem. I did not finish watching your video and I thumbed it down too. have a nice life.
