  1. Yes and you don’t need to buy a transfer kit if you have a flash drive large enough to save everything that’s on your old hard drive. Here’s how to do it:

    1) Connect your flash drive to your Xbox 360

    2) Turn on your Xbox and go to “My Xbox” and click on “System Settings”

    3) Go to “Memory” and click on it and then press the “Y” button for “Device Options”

    4) Now click “Format” and it’ll erase everything on your flash drive and format it so it can download your Xbox 360 hard drive

    5) Once finished, go back to “Device Options”, choose your old hard drive and click “Transfer Content” to the new drive.

That’s all there is to it! 🙂

  2. yes, it is actually very easy:

BUT you may need to BUY the TRANSFER kit at the store as well (ask the sales person) , you could even borrow someones old transfer cable, as the NEW xbox 360″S” will not require the disc that use to come with OLDER xbox 360’s

ok when you have the NEW xbox 360″S” set up ,( pluged in and all)

take the hard drive (HDD) off the OLDER xbox.

OPEN the transfer kit, and just follow the instructions – for the most part, it will be straight forward.

It should say something like this ” connect the LARGER part of the transfer CABLE to the OLD hard drive- the plug the USB part of the same cable into the NEW xbox360, and the you are done there.(as most of the work will be done by itself)

  3. all you have to do when you get your new xbox is download your old profile and all your saved memory should be there. If you have a seperate saving device you can just plug that in like normal
