  1. If you can’t afford a new one then it would seem the best option unless you are simply going to give up gaming with Xbox altogether.

The older white boxes have serious problems from my experience. I had a number of them (provided when they failed under the old warranty). They failed regularly (about every 6 months or so). I have owned only one of the newer version for a couple of years now, have used it regularly, and have never had a problem with it. That is not to say that a used one would preform as well.I am simply saying that the newer black model is FAR more reliable than the older white model. (To be honest I have no idea if they are still selling the older models used or if they have simply been discontinued altogether.just giving a heads up about it).

  2. There’s always a chance for it to be broken and/or banned, and on top of that it can die on you once more and not be covered in the warranty. If you’re buying it from gamestation check what their return/refund policy is in case you’re unlucky.

Regarding the older models, like you i also bought mine 4 years ago, and it still works. Although i might be in the same boat as you some time soon. In which case i’d sell the broken xbox (still useful to some for parts, drive, key/serial#, etc), and buy a new one when it’s on sale. Around the holidays last year, I saw brand new xbox360’s for about 120$ CAD (which is about 75 pounds), so if you can wait and get a new one for the same price i think that would be the best choice.

  3. Well, as long as you get it from a reliable source I would think it should be fine. But I also HEARD that they are coming out with a new xbox ( I am not sure how true this is) so either get a cheap used one, or wait and save up for the new one, if and when it comes out. Good luck
