Cant connect my ps3 to internet?

i want to connect wirelessly, I did all the right things, settings > network settings > internet connection settings > easy > wireless > scan > selected my access point > selected secruity setting > entered security key, but when I press enter it just comes up ‘A connection to the access point could not be established

Check the security settings for the wireless LAN’

  1. I reckon it has something to do with your router. Look up entering your mac address into your router list or something similar. That sorted mine out but it was a while ago so cant really give you any more info. then again i could be completely wrong

  2. You put the wrong code in, if it contains capital letters make sure you make them capital. Or your router isnt working.

  3. Its sounds like your wifi connection is too weak and failed to connect fully , if it;s under 60% signal then it’s usually too low or if you have a slow connection from your provider you might need even a higher signal strength to get a fast enough connection speed.

    try unplugging your router for a few minutes and reboot it so it’s refreshed , then search again for the ssid – if the signal is strong it should connect unless you ave firewall blocks.

    be sure to use the correct password / wep key too.
